The Rialto Bridge (Ponte di Rialto) is one of the four bridges that cross the Grand Canal of Venice, and for a long time was the only bridge that you would find above it. It is though the oldest and probably the one of the most famous and visited places in the city.
It connects the San Marco and San Polo boroughs, its construction lasted for three years (1588) : the bridge is now 48 meters long and 22 meters wide. It now shelters many shops along its way.
