Improbable dialogues, funny exchanges, humor, teasing, sarcasm are habitual. Mr. V. is really nice, but if you don’t carefully read the rules posted on the wall, you make him angry. Yes, he has a mask, but he doesn’t have filters: he tells you straight away everything he thinks. He always has an answer. The bathroom is bigger than the room and the menu is renewed every month. An historical cocktail bar that through the years has become a real Milanese institution, Bar Basso is mostly renowned for its signature cocktail Negroni Sbagliato, invented here and presented in huge scenographic glasses with 6cm x 8cm hand cut ice cubes inside. Bar Basso was the first-ever bar in Milan to introduce the “aperitif” to everyday people. It is part of history of the city and it is a mandatory stop for everyone visiting Milan.
