Come to Lake Maggiore, you won't regret!
Lake Maggiore is the second largest lake in Italy after Garda Lake. Its costs are shared by Italy (Novara and Verbano-Cusio-Ossola provinces in Piedmont, Varese province in Lombardy) and Switzerland (Ticino Canton). There are 11 islands; the most famous are the “Borromee Islands”: Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Isola dei Pescatori, where you can arrive by boat. The most famous cities of the lake you can visit are Verbania, Stresa, Arona and Angera. Lake Maggiore is the perfect location to spend a romantic weekend, enjoying the beautiful landscapes you can admire from a walk along the “lungolago” or the hills on the island. |
